Our Process
A simple five-step process gets your enquiry from form to first survey visit, usually inside the same week.
Submit your enquiry
Use the contact form to tell us what is happening at the property. The more detail on cracks, sticking doors and nearby trees, the better the match.
We match a specialist to your postcode
Your details go to a vetted subsidence specialist working in your area. Most enquiries are matched within an hour during working days.
Specialist contacts you directly
Expect a call or email, usually within one business day. They will ask follow-up questions and arrange a survey time that works around your schedule.
On-site survey and diagnosis
A site visit takes around an hour. The specialist looks at the cracks, checks for movement, and identifies the likely cause (clay shrinkage, drainage, made ground).
Written quote against insurance cover
You receive a written diagnosis and a quote. The specialist can liaise with your insurer, supply structural reports, and price the work against the cover in place.
Why the process works this way
Subsidence is rarely something that can be diagnosed over the phone. Two homes on the same street can show identical cracks for completely different reasons, and the fix for each is different. That is why every enquiry routes through a survey before any work is quoted.
The first call is short. The specialist will ask about the age of the property, the kind of soil it sits on, whether there are mature trees in the front or back garden, whether the drains have ever been replaced, and what the cracks actually look like. Photographs help. If the answers point to active subsidence rather than historic movement, the visit is booked.
On site, the specialist will look at the cracks both inside and out, check the floors for level with a long spirit level or laser, look at the ground conditions in nearby planting beds, and check for damp patches that might point to a leaking drain. They will photograph everything and write up what they have found.
The written report is the document your insurer needs to assess the claim. It will set out the cause, the recommended repair method, the cost and the timing. From that point you can compare quotes, talk to the insurer and make a decision in your own time. We do not push you to use the specialist we connected you with, and we do not charge you a fee either way.
Once work is agreed, the specialist handles everything from skip licences to monitoring. Most repairs run alongside normal family life. Underpinning is noisier than resin injection, and the back garden will be used as a working area, but the work is kept to set hours and homes stay liveable throughout.
